Quartier Libre

The goal was to create an easy to update dynamic online publication for this award winning weekly newspaper from the University of Montreal. The visual design is meant to communicate the journal's openness, its "alternative" positioning and its Generation-Y university audience, while being pleasant to read on screen. Online storyboards were created for all template pages. (see above link). The site will eventually house a fully searchable archives of all past issues.

Révolution Créatrice

This site presents a special project being launched by an international consultant in creativity. The visual design was meant to inspire a certain confidence in the user, but at the same time to communicate "creativity". RC is, in fact, the site where I have felt the most creative opennness on the part of a client. This made it great to work on. A blog is integrated seamlessly into the look and feel of the site.

Janet Cardiff : Eyes of Laura

This site was over two years in the making. I worked closely with the artist to design the graphic interface and information architecture. It is a Web fiction. The story is told with a Web log and rich media files that are published automatically for a period of 8 months. It also features a live Webcam that is fully user controllable through a Web interface. Technically it looks like a Flash site but it is almost all done using Javascript, php and a postgreSql database.

Bernard Mulaire : Publications sur les arts

In its second iteration, this site presents the author's bibliography as well as several full text articles. The primary objective is to make his writings known to any one who might be searching the Web using related keywords. The site was constructed accordingly, but it was also designed to be visually elegant and easy to read on screen.
