Two vertical panels join at the centre to create a corner. A plaster hand, a ceramic ear and a small ceramic female figure are integrated into the panels.

Deux panneaux verticaux se rejoignent au centre pour créer un angle. Une main en plâtre, une oreille en céramique et un petit personnage féminin en céramique sont intégrés dans les panneaux.
Statement
Angerona was one of a group of my very first sculptures. They were made for the exhibition, Du coin de l’oeil, La Troisième Galerie, Québec City. The work is a representation of Angerona the Roman goddess of the winter solstice. In art she was represented with a bandaged mouth and a finger raised to represent silence. She was regarded as the goddess of the corner, able to help relieve human pain and sorrow and anyone suffering the difficulties of winter.

Angerona fait partie d’un groupe des toutes premières sculptures de l’artiste réalisées pour l’exposition Du coin de l’œil, La Troisième Galerie, Québec. L’œuvre représente Angerona, la déesse romaine du solstice d’hiver. Dans l’art, elle était représentée avec une bouche bandée et un doigt levé pour représenter le silence. Elle était considérée comme la déesse du coin, capable d’aider à soulager la douleur et le chagrin des gens et de toute personne souffrant des difficultés de l’hiver.
